1. What’s new in the M2U Mobile App?

The M2U PH App offers a secure, convenient, and improved online banking experience. Enjoy the same great functionalities of the M2U PH Classic App with the following new features:
  • Secure2u (S2U) – This is an in-app transaction authorization system. It allows users to do faster transactions (ie. bills payment, fund transfers, and more) where users do not need to wait for the TAC (Transaction Authorization Code) or OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS. What’s more, your authorization is locked to your smartphone of choice, which prevents your account from being approved from other devices.
  • Deposit Electronic Statement of Account (e-SOA) Viewing and Download –View and download up to 12 months monthly deposit e-SOA, starting with your May 2024 deposit records.
  • Loan Viewing – With this revived feature of M2U, you can now view details of your retail loan account/s booked from January 2021 onwards.

2. How do I know if I’m downloading the M2U PH App or the M2U PH Classic App?

In App Stores:
  • The all-new M2U mobile app has a yellow logo and is labelled "Maybank2u PH"
  • The old M2U mobile app has a gray logo and is labelled "Maybank2u PH Classic"
Once Downloaded:
  • The all-new M2U PH App will be labelled as "M2U PH"
  • The old M2U PH App will be labelled as "M2U PH Classic"

3. Where can I download the M2U PH App?

The M2U PH App can be downloaded through
  • iOS App Store
  • Google Play Store

4. Will I be required to deactivate my M2U PH Classic App if I migrate to the M2U PH App?

  • No, you will not be required to deactivate your M2U PH Classic App yet.
  • However, for the best and more secured experience, switch to the M2U PH App and experience a secure, convenient, and improved way of online banking.

5. Can I download and use the M2U PH App even if I don’t have an existing Maybank deposit account yet?

  • If you don’t have an existing Maybank deposit account yet, you can download the new M2U PH App and open a Maybank iSave account digitally, within a few minutes. Simply follow the steps to activate your M2U access after your Maybank iSave account opening.
  • If you have an existing Maybank Credit Card, you can download and activate the M2U PH App using your credit card account information.

6. I am currently using the M2U PH Classic App, how do I switch to the new M2U PH App and login?

Simply download the new M2U PH App, then you will be asked to login with the existing M2U credentials that you use in M2U PH Classic, such as your username, password, security image and security phrase.

7. I forgot my M2U PH Classic username and/or password, how can I retrieve them?

  • For username retrieval: Kindly call Customer Care hotline as (02) 8588-3888 for assistance.
  • For self-initiated password retrieval: Tap the “Forgot Password” button on the M2U Mobile App login page and follow the instructions given. A Reset Password Code (RPC) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Please ensure that your mobile number is updated. In case you need to update your mobile number, please visit a Maybank branch.
  • If you have been locked out due to multiple Forgot Password attempts: Kindly call Customer Care hotline for password reset assistance.

8. I am an existing M2U PH Classic App user, do I need to link my account/s to the new M2U PH App when I activate it?

  • No, all your existing accounts (CASA, Credit Card, Personal Loan, Auto Loan, Home Loan, Time Deposit) are automatically linked to the new M2U PH app. Also, any personal loan, auto loan, home loan, iSave or EzySave+ opened after activating the M2U PH App will be automatically reflected in the dashboard.
However, similar to the M2U PH Classic App process, all new deposit accounts (except iSave and EzySave+) and credit card accounts opened after your M2U PH App activation must be manually linked via Retail Internet Banking or M2U Web.

9. How do I link my new non-digital Maybank Deposit Account or new Maybank Credit Card to my M2U PH App?

  • a. Login to M2U Web: www.maybank.com.ph
  • b. Click "Account Maintenance"
  • c. Enter the Savings, Current or Credit Card Account No. to be linked and Click "Continue"
  • d. Request for TAC
  • e. Enter TAC sent to M2U registered mobile number and Click "Confirm"
You have successfully linked your Account to M2U.

10. Do I need to re-enroll my favourite billers, scheduled transfers/payments, or recurring payments when I activate my M2U PH App?

No need! Your current favourite billers, scheduled transfer/payments, or recurring payments will automatically be listed and displayed on the new M2U PH App once activated.

11. Is it possible to use both M2U Classic Mobile App and the new M2U PH app?

You can still retain and use your M2U PH Classic App alongside your M2U PH App until further notice. However, please note that the transaction authorization differs at an App level:
  • If using M2U Classic: Authorize your transactions using the standard TAC/OTP sent via SMS
  • If using M2U PH App: Authorize your transactions via Secure2U (S2U) or TAC/OTP, depending on your preference.

12. Can I access the M2U PH App on multiple devices?

No. For account security, you can only access the new M2U PH App using one mobile device.

13. I lost my mobile phone. How do I register again to M2U and unlink my lost mobile phone from my M2U access?

Simply download the M2U PH App in your new mobile phone and proceed with the activation of your M2U access. Your old mobile device will automatically be unlinked from your M2U access once you activate M2U in your new mobile device.

14. Will M2U Internet Banking via Web or Retail Internet Banking (RIB) be enhanced as well?

Not yet, M2U internet banking via web will remain the same and will still be accessible for your banking transactions. Further announcements will be made when the enhanced platform is already available.
