In compliance to the Philippine Clearing House Corporation's (PCHC) implementation of the Check Image Clearing System (CICS) whereby banks are mandated to follow the new check design standard and specifications, Maybank Philippines, Inc. will be issuing checkbooks bearing the new designs and specifications effective July 2015. The primary purpose of CICS project is to address the banking industry's and its customers' need to expedite the clearing cycle in the country.

Some of the significant physical features of the new check designs are:

1. The size of the new check is uniform for both personal and corporate accounts (i.e. 8"x3")
2. Account name printing is mandatory and must be pre-printed to the space right after the account number field.
3. Drawer's conformity statement, "I/We allow electronic clearing of this check and hereby waive the presentation of the original to the drawee bank", is printed in the space below the amount in word field.

Issuance of checks bearing the old design are still acceptable and negotiable. If you have further inquiries, please call your branch of account. Thank you for Banking with us.
