MAYBANK GO AHEAD. CHALLENGE (MGAC) 2015 PHILIPPINE NATIONAL LEVEL FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

Malaysia-bound. After a day-long competition which included a series of tasks designed to test strategic thinking, tactical planning, and quick reactions, Maybank has identified the six candidates that will advance to the Maybank Go Ahead. Challenge (MGAC) 2015 Global Finals to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August.

The six Filipino students who emerged victorious are: Jade Sy, BS Management Engineering, Ateneo de Manila University; Erica Lau, BS Business Administration and Accountancy, University of the Philippines; Michelle George Tan, BS Business Administration and Accountancy, University of the Philippines; Jacqueline Diaz, BS Business Administration and Accountancy, University of the Philippines; Van Vicente, BS Applied Economics, De La Salle University; and Maria Isabel Menchaca, BS Management of Financial Institution, De La Salle University.

The six National Level Finalists bested 60 challengers shortlisted from more than 2,300 applicants from top universities in the Philippines. They will be facing challengers from 14 countries around the world for a shot at being named the Ultimate Go Ahead. Challenger or be part of the Champion Team. At stake is a prize fund worth USD72,000.00, plus the chance to join the prestigious Global Maybank Apprentice Programme - the multi-national mentorship designed to nurture Maybank's future leaders.

Now on its fourth year, the Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge is a multi-disciplinary talent recruitment competition open to recent graduates and final and penultimate-year students. Conceived as a way to bolster Maybank's already strong position in South-East Asia, the Challenge will ensure that Maybank continues to attract the very best in graduate talent from the world over.

The Challenge features contestants from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, and the United States of America facing off against each other in the Global Finals in Malaysia in August. This year, over 23,000 applications were received worldwide, more than double the number from 2014.
