Maybank Philippines partners with ABS-CBN Global’s E-MoneyPlus, Inc. for myRemit remittance service

Maybank Philippines Inc. (MPI) recently signed a deal with E-MoneyPlus Inc. (EMPI), the remittance arm of ABS-CBN Global's, the largest multi-media network in the Philippines, for the facilitation of remittances to the country. For the partnership, MPI provides the gateway of online interbank fund transfer for the crediting of accounts of remittance beneficiaries who maintain accounts with BancNet member banks. This will allow beneficiaries to withdraw remittances in an instant. BancNet is the largest ATM consortium that has majority of Philippines banks signed up as members.

The partnership allows EMPI, which carries the remittance label "myRemit", to tap most banks in the Philippines through MPI, which pioneered in the real time crediting of accounts for BancNet member banks. It provides a simple, safe and secure work flow process that beneficiaries will benefit from, at the same time, allow more flexibility for myREMIT to provide the service for Philippine bound remittances.
