MANILA, (October 1, 2014): Maybank Philippines, Inc. (MPI) last Sept. 27 participated in the Maybank Group Global CSR Day through a carnival-themed Family Day and Graduation ceremony for 110 Deaf kids of My Children's House of Hope.

The event, led by MPI President and CEO Herminio M. Famatigan, Jr. and participated by 150 staff, was a circus of colors, entertainment and merriment for the attendees.

It was MPI's graduation present to the 50 Deaf students who finished a creative course in art, dance, and writing conducted by Maybankers every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, since June. Dubbed as #CKSaturday, the activity raised employee volunteerism and instilled confidence to the Deaf kids through constant interactions with the Hearing World.

Filipino Maybankers were part of over 20,000 Maybank employees from Malaysia, and other offices abroad -- including New York, London, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, China, Bahrain, Papua New Guinea and Singapore-- that came together to reaffirm their commitment to social development and welfare as well as environmental conservation through various community programs
