MPI Sta. Rosa Branch last Sept. 1 celebrated its 60th year of existence.

Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank)--our parent bank--acquired PNB Republic Bank in November 1997, which was eventually renamed to Maybank Philippines, Inc.

MPI Sta. Rosa branch, opened in 1954, is one of the oldest branches of the bank, following Candelaria branch (now Lipa branch) and Laoag branch, which were both opened in 1952; and the LTC branch, which was opened in 1953.

Last Sept.1, the branch's long-time clients and RBG officers, headed by MPI Retail Business Group Head Richard Lim, gathered in the Sta. Rosa branch to celebrate the branch's 60th anniversary. A thanksgiving mass was held followed by a mini salu-salo.

During the celebration, 30 loyal clients of the bank were recognized and were each given a certificate of appreciation and a Maybank commemorative mug.

Clients who presented the oldest passbook, checkbook, and certificate of time deposit were also given prizes.
