Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. led the joint induction ceremony of ACI Philippines Financial Markets Association and the Money Market Association of the Philippines (MART). The event was held last Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila and attended by key representatives of member banks and financial institutions.

Among the inductees was Maybank Philippines' Atty. Arlene Joan T. Agustin, SVP and Head for Investment and Asset Management and newly-elected to the ACI Philippines Board.

ACI Philippines is the country's official business organization for financial market professionals. It is a member of the Association Cambiste Internationale, a global organization hosting around 13,000 members all over the globe.

"Being part of the ACI Philippines Board is a privilege for financial market professionals," Atty. Arlene said. "It's an opportunity to actively represent Maybank in the market that we serve, as a way of giving back to the industry," she added.

Atty. Arlene's induction to the ACI Board also demonstrates Maybank's thought leadership position in the finance industy of the Philippines, as a major participant in forming industry views and directions.
